The 2015 Geminid meteor shower will peak between December 13 and 14 this year. The Geminids are an annual meteor shower and are considered to be one of the best and most reliable. During peak activity, there can be up to 120 meteors per hour. One of the great things about this meteor shower is that you can begin seeing activity as early as 9 p.m. local time, so you don’t have to stay up all night long. If you are planning on watching the show this winter, here are some of the best places near Cleveland to watch the Geminid meteor shower.

The park is a part of the Geauga Park District and is made up of 1,100 acres. There are five telescope pads and a mile-long Planetary Trail with interactive pods representing each planet. There is also a science center at Observatory Park that has a meteorite display and weekly planetarium shows.
